本報告書は、昭和52年の初臨界以来、順調に運転継続されている高速実験炉「常陽」における核計装設備の運転・保守履歴についてまとめたものであり、昭和61年までに得られた主な成果は下記のとおりである。(1)中性子検出器の最大照射量は、核分裂計数管で5.30$$times$$10E17nvt、ガンマ線補償型電離箱で9.30$$times$$10E16nvtである。(2)起動系及び中間系の核分裂計数管5体の内、4体は、動燃事業団も参画して開発された国産検出器に交換され運転中である。(3)起動系、中間系、出力系の3系統で構成される核計装設備は、1デケイド以上のオーバラップ特性を有し良好である。

JOYO has been operated smoothly since the initial criticality in 1977. This report describes the actual operation and maintenance experience of JOYO nuclear instrumentation system till 1986. Major results obtained from operation and maintenance experience are as follows; (1)Maximum neutron fluence of neutron detector. (a)5.30$$times$$10$$^{17}$$ nvt (fission counter) (b)9.30 $$times$$10$$^{16}$$ nvt ($$gamma$$-ray compensated ionization chamber) (2)Imported four fission counters, using one source range monitor (SRM) and three intermediate range monitors (IRM), have been changed for home made ones. They have been kept in good operating conditions. (3)The overlaps in the monitoring ranges between SRM and IRM, IRM and power range monitor (PRM), were confirmed to be more than one decade.
