本資料は、原子炉施設を含むナトリウム施設の運転保守およびナトリウムに係わる研究開発に従事する者に対するナトリウム技術教育・訓練用の資料として作成されたものであり、以下の技術項目から構成される。 ・ナトリウムの特性 ・ナトリウムと材料の共存性 ・ナトリウムの流動伝熱と構造健全性 ・ナトリウム系統設備と機器 ・ナトリウム計装 ・ナトリウムの管理技術 ・高速炉のナトリウムに係わる事故評価と対策 ・ナトリウム施設の運転・保守等 ・ナトリウムに係わる安全対策 ・ナトリウムに関する法令・規則・規定等 読本の作成計画立案、具体的内容の検討等は、敦賀本部を含めナトリウムを取扱う関係部代表者より構成し、大洗工学センター内に設置した「ナトリウム教育委員会」において行った。また、各テーマの執筆は、関連部署の専門家が行った。

This document was published as a textbook for the education and the training of personnel working for operation and maintenance of sodium facilities including FBR plants and those engaged in R&D activities related to sodium technology. This guidebook covers the following technical areas. - Properties of sodium - Compatibilities of sodium with materials - Flow and heat transfer and structural integrity - Sodium systems and components - Sodium instrumentations - Sodium handling technology - Accident assessments and measures of FBRs relevant to sodium - Operation and maintenance technology of sodium facilities - Laws, regulations and internal rules regarding sodium The plannings and discussions of the handbook were made in the Sodium Technology Education Committee organized in O-arai Engineering Center consisting of the representatives of the related departments including Tsuruga headquarters. Experts in various departments participated in writing individual technical subjects.
