JMTR has been stopped since its 165th cycle operation was finished, and the JMTR is advancing its refurbishment works aiming at the restart from FY2011. Regarding the management and operation of the JMTR, the periodical inspection of facilities based on the law, maintenance and partial renewal works of facilities and the transportation of the spent fuels to U.S were carried out, and the fabrication of the fuel for restart has been started. As for the management and operation of irradiation facilities, maintenance and partial renewal works of facilities were also carried out. In the hot laboratory, post-irradiation examinations of irradiated materials and fuels were carried out. As for the radiation control at the JMTR facility, irradiation facility and hot laboratory facility, the limit of the radiation exposure dose defined by the safety regulation works were carried out safely under far below. This report describes the FY2009 activities relating to above mentions.
