低温・高圧下物性測定実験で使用される圧力伝達媒体の系統評価

ダイヤモンドアンビルセルを用いて、低温/高圧下物性測定実験に用いられる合計14種類の圧力媒体についてルビー蛍光法でその静水圧性のテストを行った。ルビー蛍光$$R_1$$線のブロード化を定量的に見積り、圧力媒体を三種類に分類した。アルゴン/窒素/ヘリウム媒体は10GPaまで良質な静水圧を低温領域まで維持することが明らかにされた。

We have evaluated the fourteen kinds of pressure-transmitting media fro cryogenic experiments with the diamond anvil cell. The non-hydrostaticity of the pressure was evaluated from the value of the width of the ruby $$R_1$$ line at 10 GPa and 77 K. The media were classified into three groups from the value. It was found that the argon, nitrogen and helium provide the good hydrostatic pressure even in the low temperature region.
