MLFの中性子データ処理環境「空蝉」の現状2017

「空蝉」は、J-PARC, MLFにおける中性子散乱用データ処理・解析可視化環境の一つであり、多くのビームラインで導入が進められているソフトウェア群である。特にデータ処理機能の面では、MLFが採用したデータ収集方式であるイベント記録方式をいち早く実用化し、特に非弾性散乱装置の解析環境として、例えば今や世界のスタンダードな測定として広まったMulti-Ei手法の実現や、単結晶試料の多次元データ測定・可視化手法の実現などに貢献してきた。一方でMLFでは長い間、測定中のデータを解析してその場で結果を見たいという要望に対し、十分に対応できていなかった。平成28年度よりMLF計算環境チームでは、分散メッセージングミドルウェアRedisとデータ収集システムを組み合わせたシステムを用い、リアルタイムな情報取得やデータ処理を目指した開発に取り組んでいる。空蝉も率先してこのシステムを活用しイベント記録方式と組み合わせたリアルタイムデータ処理(Live Data Reduction)機能の開発を進めている。

Utsusemi is the software to analyze and visualize data measured by the neutron scattering experiments at MLF in J-PARC. Utsusemi has achieved to treat the data obtained by the event-recording method, which MLF had adopted as a standard data acquisition system, and to realize the multi-Ei method on the inelastic scattering measurement for the first time in the world. On the other hand, users in MLF require to see the analyzed data while measuring to decide next experimental schedules. We, therefore, had started to develop the software to obtain the information, analysis and visualization of measured data in real time since last year. We report the current status for these developments.
