$$^{248}$$Cf (Z=98,N=152) and $$^{252}$$Fm (Z=100,N=152) are key isotopes to understand the role played by the deformed shell gaps at Z=100 and N=152, and to improve the predictions for the Island of Stability. We performed an in-beam gamma-ray experiment at the JAEA Tandem accelerator, studying the multinucleon transfer reaction $$^{18}$$O+$$^{249}$$Cf at 140.4 MeV. $$^{248}$$Cf and $$^{252}$$Fm were identified by detecting the light ejectiles with a silicon telescope array. Gamma-rays were detected using Ge and LaBr$$_3$$(Ce) detectors. New data on these two isotopes, including nanosecond isomer lifetime measurements, will be presented.
