　ニューラルネットワークとエキスパートシステムを利用して，オランダボルセレ原子力発電所のオンラインプラント監視システムを開発した．フィードフォワード型及びリカレント型ネットワークを用いてプラントのモデル化と異常検知を行い，ルールベース型エキスパートシステムでプラント診断を行った．オフラインによる結果から，ニューラルネットワークがプラント動特性を正確にモデル化できることが示された．また，オンラインの結果より，本監視システムがプラント状態を実時間で診断できることが明らかになった．
