Design and evaluation of heat utilization systems for the high temperature engineering test reactor was carried out as the Coordinated Research Program in the IAEA from 1994 to 1999. The final technical document was published as the TECDOC. The chapter 3, outline of the HTTR, and section 5.2.1, Japanese process design to steam reforming of methane for hydrogen production, were written by JAERI.
