Synthesis of carbon-14 labeled polychlorinated biphenyls

Starting with benzene-U- $^{14}$ C, biphenyl-U- $^{14}$ C was synthesized in two steps in approximately 65% yield. Then two kinds of polychlorinated biphenyls-U- $^{14}$ C. The yield was more than 35% based on benzene-U- $^{14}$ C consumed.
