強相関電子系化合物が高圧下で示す特異な物性が注目されている。2GPaを超える超高圧領域では、圧力セル内の試料空間が狭くなるために、物性測定手段としては電気抵抗が主として用いられている。本解説では、相転移の議論に不可欠な比熱の測定方法を、筆者の最近の実験をはじめ、内外の研究を紹介しながらレビューする。

High-pressure technique is now recognized as an important tool to study strongy correlated electron systems. For the high-pressures above 2 GPa, resistivity measurements are commonly performed because of the restricted small sample space. In this review, recent efforts to measure specific heat under high pressure are presented.
