Review of fuel densification models up to 1978

本報告は,照射焼きしまりモデル(実験モデルも含む)をレビューしたものである。1,972年,照射焼きしまりが発見されて以来,数多くの照射実験が行なわれ,また照射焼きしまりモデルも数々の研究者により提案されてきた。しかし,これらのモデルにおける焼きしまり機構の考え方は,それぞれ異っている。そこでこれらのモデルを整理し,燃料挙動解析用の最適モデルを提案した。本報告では,1,978年までに発表された6つの理論モデルと4つの実験モデルについてのレビューを行った。

Models (including empirical ones) were reviewed on an irradiation induced fuel densification. Since the phenomena of fuel densification was observed in 1972, many experiments have been carried out to understand the densification and also theoretical and empirical models have been proposed by many workers. There are at least six theoretical models and also four empirical models which have been reported up to 1978 so far. The mechanisms of the desification in these models, however, were different from each other. We, therefore, reviewed these models in detail and selected a model suitable for a fuel pin behavior modeling.
