MK-2性能試験における異常時過渡応答試験としては、手動スクラム試験および外部電源喪失試験を実施し、(1)熱過渡特性が設計条件を満足すること、(2)プラント保護系,非常系電源その他の機器が設計通りに動作し,プラントを安全な状態で停止できることの確認を行なった。本報告書では,これらの試験のうち外部電源喪失試験について報告する。試験結果の概要は以下の通りである。(1)プラント各部での熱過渡特性は,ほぼ設計条件を満足した。(2)安全保護系,その他の機器の作動時間は,ほぼ設計条件を満足した。(3)無停電および非常系電源は,ほぼ正常に動作した。(4)1次主冷却系のフロー・コーストダウン,ポニーモータ流量は設計値を満足した。(5)電喪後の2次主冷却系における自然循環が確認された(100MW出力からの電喪試験で定格の約5.7%)、(6)冷却材温度制御系の改造により,主冷却器出口Na温度のハンチングは小さく,配管温度の設計値は満足した。

Loss of electric power supply test and manual scram test were conducted as the transient response test on anomaly condition, in 100 MW power ascension test of JOYO MK-II core. The above transient response tests were performed to confirm the following items. (1)The thermal transient characteristics in comparison with the design criteria. (2)Sequential operation of the plant protection system, electric supply system for emergency and other components, and finally the shut down of the reactor in safe. Among the above two transient response tests, this report describes the result of the loss of power test. Main results obtained by the test are as follows. (1) The thermal transient characteristics of each part of main coolant system are within the design criteria. (2) The plant protection system and other components start to operate within the time required by the design. (3) The non-cut-off and the emergency power supply system operate as expected. (4) Both the flow coast down characteristics of the primary main cooling system and the flow rate generated by the pony motors are satisfactory in comparison with the design criteria. (5) The natural circulation of the secondary main loop is observed after the power cut-off. The measured flow rate of the natural circulation is about. 5.7% of the normal flow rate, just after the scram. (6) By the improvement of the secondary loop temperature control system, hunching of the main cooler outlet temperature clarified to be small, enough to satisfy the design criteria.
