FBRサイクル実用化戦略調査研究のフェーズI、IIにおけるアクチニドリサイクルに関する評価結果について、特にマイナーアクチニドの回収技術開発の現状を述べる。

JNC started the Feasibility Study on Commercialized FBR Cycle Systems (FS) in Japanese fiscal year (JFY) 1999 in cooperation with electric power companies and related rganizations. In the FBR cycle system being pursued in the FS, minor actinides (Am, Cm and Np) will be recycled with U and Pu. In Phase I (JFY1999-2000), feasibilities of various concepts of nuclear fuel cycle systems, which combined reprocessing and fuel fabrication, were extensively examined through literature survey and experimental studies. Several concepts were selected for further study. In Phase II (2001-2005), the conceptual design study on the four nuclear fuel cycle systems have been continued and experimental studies on the innovative technologies, such as U crystallization (detail will be presented in this conference by another researcher) and MA recovery process, have been conducted to rationalize the selected systems. Attractive nuclear fuel cycle systems will be identified by the end of JFY2005.
