Development of communication mechanism in ITBL middleware

ITBLミドルウェアにおける通信機構の開発

システム計算科学センターでは、ITBLプロジェクトの目的の1つである仮想研究環境の実現のため、基盤ソフトウェアとしてITBLシステム基盤ソフトウェアを開発した。本ソフトウェアの通信機構である Starpc(Seamless Thinking Aid Remote Procedure Call)は、複数の組織に所属する研究者が、ファイアウォールを越えてプログラム, データ, 計算機等の資源や、研究成果を共有するために必要な通信機能を備えている。本発表では、パネルやリーフレットを用いた説明及びデモンストレーションにより、ITBLシステム基盤ソフトウェアにおける通信機構の構造,機能及び特徴を説明する。

ITBL middleware has been developped at Center of Computational Science and Engineering in Japan Atomic Energy Agency. The middleware has the function to construct a virtual research laboratories which is the one of the goal of the ITBL project. The communication mechanism of the middleware enables the researchers belong to different organizations to share the software and hardware resources beyond the firewalls. In this presentation, we will show the framework, function and feature of the communication mechanism by illustrating with panels, leaflets and demonstration.
