高空隙率の多孔性材料を用いた伝熱促進法を一般の熱交換器や水蒸気改質器の伝熱促進に適用するため、アルゴンガスを使用して摂氏400度以上の高温場における環状流路の伝熱流動実験を行った。高温における物性値の変化を考慮して整理した結果、DalleDonneらの報告に見られる熱伝達特性の傾向と一致したことから、得られた試験データは水蒸気改質器の触媒管における伝熱促進のための基礎データとすることができた。

A hydrogen production system using nuclear heat is performed as a heat application system of the HTTR in JAERI. In the present studies heat transfer improvement in the reformer tube is examined using a porous material with high porosity. In the first report, the heat transfer and flow characteristics of an annular tube were examined experimentally to obtain the basic data. These results were compared with the convenient data.
