${it N,N,N',N'}$-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine(TPEN)を用いたランタノイドのイオン液体への抽出を検討した。その結果、従来の一般有機溶媒を用いた場合に比べてイオン液体を用いた方が、TPENのランタノイドに対する抽出能が大幅に向上することを明らかにした。さらに、イオン液体に抽出されたランタノイドは酸性の回収相を用いて容易に逆抽出できることが示された。

The extraction behavior of lanthanides from aqueous solutions into an ionic liquids (IL) was investigated with ${it N,N,N',N'}$-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine (TPEN) as a ligand. The extraction performance of TPEN for lanthanides is greatly enhanced by dissolution in IL compared to in chloroform. Furthermore, the stripping of lanthanides from IL into a receiving phase is successfully achieved under acidic conditions.
