AC calorimetry study on the pressure-induced superconductor UIr

Tateiwa, Naoyuki   ; Haga, Yoshinori   ; Yamamoto, Etsuji  ; Matsuda, Tatsuma; Ikeda, Shugo; Onuki, Yoshichika*

We have measured the heat capacity of the pressure-induced superconductor UIr by ac calorimetry under pressures up to 1.6 GPa. The heat capacity shows an anomaly at the Curie temperature $$T_{rm C1}$$, and this anomaly shifts to lower temperatures with increasing pressure. The present pressure dependence of $$T_{rm C1}$$ was consistent with the results obtained by the previous resistivity and magnetization measurements.
