高速炉の炉心損傷事故における複合現象を構成する伝熱・流動・相変化等の素現象に対してCOMPASSコードの適用性を検証するため基礎検証計画を作成した。次に、現行の炉心損傷事故解析の課題を摘出するとともに、コード検証に適切な既存試験を検討し、総合検証計画を策定した。

A basic verification plan has been developed to assess the applicability of the COMPASS code to basic phenomena of heat transfer, dynamic flow, phase change etc. which are involved in complex phenomena in core disruptive accidents of fast reactors. The subsequent integral verification plan has also been defined with considering appropriate existing tests for the code verification as well as with extracting several issues on present core disruptive accident analyses.
