Electron radiation effect on structural development of dynamically asymmetric polymer blends under uniaxial stretching

Takeno, Hiroyuki*; Uehara, Hiroki*; Murakami, Shozo*; Takenaka, Mikihito*; Nagasawa, Naotsugu

We investigated the structural change during uniaxial stretching using time-resolved small-angle X-ray scattering for dynamically asymmetric polymer blends irradiated by electron beams. The concentration fluctuations were enhanced by stretching and become large especially along the direction of deformation. At the early stage of the stretch-induced enhancement of concentration fluctuations, their growth rate of ${it q}$-Fourier mode was found to have a maximum at a certain ${it q}$ (=4$$pi$$sin($$theta$$/2)/$$lambda$$), where $$theta$$ and $$lambda$$ represent the scattering angle and wavelength of X-ray, respectively.
