In order to evaluate and simulate the response of detectors, for measurements of radiation environment inside and outside the International Space Station (ISS), a model for the outside space radiation environment for this altitude is required. This estimation can be performed by using e.g. one of three web based model packages: CREME96 (Cosmic Ray Effects on Micro Electronics) or SPENVIS (the Space Environment Information System). The main goal for this work is to compare and evaluate these web interfaces, the results given and how these will influence the simulations of experiments on the ISS. We will also report the status of the simulations, executed using PHITS (Particle and Heavy-Ion Transport code System), of three experiments being carried out on the ISS, namely Altea, Alteino and Matroshka, which are of interest when estimating the risks for space personnel due to radiation.
