L3BTは、J-PARCの線形加速器と3GeV RCSを結ぶビーム輸送系である。線形加速器の第I期のビームコミッショニングは、2006年11月から開始されている。第I期のビームコミッショニングでは、0度ダンプと30度ダンプを含むL3BTの約半分しか使用できないが、その範囲内で、マッチング,偏向電磁石の調整,軌道補正等を実施した。ビームコミッショニングの際には、加速器をモデル化するためにTRACE3D, XAL等のシミュレーションコードを使用しているが、これまでのビームコミッショニングで得られた測定結果とシミュレーション結果は、基本的には一致することを確認した。

L3BT is a beam transport line from J-PARC (Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex) linac to the succeeding 3-GeV RCS (Rapid Cycling Synchrotron). The beam commissioning of the L3BT has been started since December 2006. In this paper, we present the results of the beam commissioning of the L3BT to date.
