Superconductivity and electronic states of plutonium compounds

Haga, Yoshinori   ; Aoki, Dai*; Onuki, Yoshichika

Interests have been focused on transuranium elements and their compounds, since the discovery of the first plutonium-based superconductor in 2002. We have succeeded in growing single crystals of plutonium compounds and studied their low temperature properties. In a Pauli paramagnet PuIn$$_3$$ we have detected the dHvA signal, which is the first observation of Fermi surface in plutonium compounds, and revealed that itinerant 5f electrons participate in Fermi surfaces.
