X-ray spectra features caused by super-strong electro-magnetic field generated due to high-intense laser-matter interactions

Review of the results of measurements of the multicharged ions spectra in plasma produced by moderately intense laser pulses will be presented. The investigations of non-linear effects caused by interaction of high intensive femtosecond laser pulses with solid and cluster media demonstrated that the features in the He and H like lines profiles of different ions were appeared with increasing of laser peak intensities. They suggest the existence of intense plasma oscillations with a frequency appreciably lower than the frequency of the laser radiation. Assuming the oscillation frequency to be determined by the strength of the magnetic field B generated in the plasma, we obtained an estimation of B about 45 - 60 MGs that is in reasonable agreement with other measurements for such laser intensities.
