$$beta$$-decay half-life of new neutron rich isotope $$^{166}$$Eu and levels in $$^{166}$$Gd

New neutron-rich rare-earth isotope $$^{166}$$Eu produce in the proton-induced fisson of $$^{238}$$U were identified using the JAEA on-line isotope separator at the JAEA tandem accelerator and its half-life was determined to be 1.7(4) s. Excited state in $$^{166}$$Gd was established for the first time.
