日本原子力研究開発機構における研究開発の現状

Current status of research and development at Japan Atomic Energy Agency

日本原子力研究開発機構が日本原子力研究所と核燃料サイクル開発機構が2005年10月1日に統合することにより設立されてから2年が経過し、第1期中期目標期間(2005年10月1日2010年3月31日)の半ばに差し掛かった。我が国の総合的原子力研究開発機関として、世界的にその重要性が再認識されつつある原子力エネルギーに関する研究開発を始めとして、原子力による新しい科学技術や産業の創出を目指し、基礎研究から応用研究に至るまで幅広い研究開発を行っている。原子力機構における2007年度の研究開発の主な成果を中心に、現状と動向を紹介する。

Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) was established as the result of the integration of Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) and Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute (JNC) on Oct. 1, 2005. This paper introduces the current status of research and development in FY2007.
