ガス冷却高速炉用高燃焼度燃料に用いるコンポジット燃料体の特性を評価した。コンポジット燃料体での固相マトリックスと緩衝材との界面に着目して微細組織を観察することにより、助剤偏析状況と強度特性との相関があることが明らかとなった。さらに、強度試験後の固相マトリックスについても、応力負荷状況と微細組織の関係について調べた。その結果、応力負荷の有無と結晶粒の成長度合いに相関が認められた。

Characteristics of the composite fuel assembly for the high burn-up fuel for the gas cooled fast breeder reactor were evaluated. By observing the microstructure from the viewpoint of the interface between SiC matrix in composite fuel assembly and buffer material, it became clear that there was the correlation between auxiliary segregation situation and strength characteristic. In addition, SiC matrix after the intensity test was also examined on the relation between microstructure and stress loading situation. As the result, there was the correlation in the growth agree with of existence and crystal grain of the stress loading.
