社会と原子力の関係に関する社会調査

Public opinion survey on the relationship between society and nuclear energy

首都圏在住の成人2500名にアンケート調査を行い、22.0%の回収結果を得た。原子力利用と社会意識の関係を尋ねたこの調査の目的は、原子力利用に対して求めること,期待,関心などを明らかにすることにある。この調査が、原子力利用の賛否態度の差異が今後の社会の方向性に対する意識の差異で説明できることを示した。そこから、将来社会の方向性の観点から原子力利用の動向について市民と熟議する必要があることを示した。そして、市民を将来社会の方向を見いだし、それに貢献する責任のある仲間としての対話を通じて、原子力利用をめぐる社会的意思決定過程を再構築する必要性を論じた。

I conducted a questionnaire survey of 2500 adults (collect rate 22.0%, 551 replies) who live in Tokyo metropolitan area. The purpose of this survey asking opinion about a relation between attitude toward nuclear technology utilization and social awareness is to find out their request, exception and concern about nuclear technology utilization. The survey reveals that the differences of attitudes towards nuclear technology utilization can be explained in terms of differences of general views on society such as directionality of social progress. Then, it is necessary to argue with citizens about the strategy on nuclear technology utilization from the viewpoint of directionality of the future society. The social decision-making process on nuclear technology utilization has to be renovated through the dialogue among citizens as the partner taking on the achievement and contribution toward directionality of the future society.
