(独)日本原子力研究開発機構では、軽水炉の開発や安全確保などに資するため、Japan Materials Testing Reactor(JMTR)を改修して2011年度に再稼動する計画である。このため、軽水炉燃料及び材料の照射にかかわる健全性を調べるための試験装置の整備を改修と並行して進めている。本発表では、JMTRを活用した燃材料照射試験の全体概要を示し、おもに高経年化に対応する原子炉圧力容器鋼及び炉心シュラウド材料等の中性子照射試験の実施計画、及びこれらの試験に必要な材料照射試験装置のJMTRへの整備に関する検討内容を示す。

Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) has a plan of refurbishment of Japan Materials Testing Reactor (JMTR) and reoperation from FY 2011 in order to contribute to development and safe operation of light water reactors (LWRs). Installation of fuels and materials irradiation facilities in JMTR is now in progress in parallel with the refurbishment of JMTR. In the present report, we give an outline of fuels and materials irradiation tests by using JMTR, especially neutron irradiation test program on materials for reactor pressure vessel steels and core shrouds for solving issues on plant aging, and current status of installation of the test facilities in JMTR.
