A Hot test on MA separation using R-BTP adsorbent and the process simplification

We have developed a separation process of extraction chromatography for recovery of minor actinides (MA = Am, Cm) from spent fuel by using porous silica adsorbent impregnated with chelate reagent. In this work, a hot test by using process solution from spent fuel through nBu-BTP(2,6-bis-(5,6-dibutyl-1,2,4-triazine-3-yl)pyridine)column was examined. A study on process simplification of MA recovery process by using a novel R-BTP adsorbent was also carried out.
