「地質環境の長期安定性に関する研究」では、地上からの調査の段階において天然現象の存在や履歴とそれらの影響を把握するための調査・評価技術について、事例研究による例示を目標としている。平成19年度までに実施した年代測定技術開発の現状と、それらを活用した体系的な調査評価技術に関する事例研究の成果を報告する。

The Japanese islands are located in the tectonically active Circum-Pacific Mobile Belt. Therefore, special consideration is given to the long-term stability of the geological environments in Japan. Development of investigation/evaluation technologies for geotectonic events has been carried out to evaluate the long-term stability of the geological environments in Japan. The result of the case study concerning a systematic investigation/evaluation technologies are reported.
