Radionuclide migration and related dose around a uranium mining site

Sato, Kazuhiko ; Koga, Osamu; Tokizawa, Takayuki; Iimoto, Takeshi*; Kosako, Toshiso*

At Ningyo-toge Environmental Engineering center, JAEA, reclamation of former uranium mining and milling facilities has currently been being conducted. As a part of the reclamation, safety analysis has been carried out. This paper will describe some result of geochemical modeling based on groundwater chemistry data and laboratory experiment data, e.g. partitioning coefficient, and discussed exposure dose resulting from suppositional reclamation in comparison with the environmental radiation dose.
