ITER計画の最近の進捗のうち、ITERポロイダル磁場コイル用超伝導導体を用いた超伝導コイルの実験について報告する。ITERポロイダル磁場コイルとして採用予定のニオブチタン超伝導導体を用いた超伝導コイルを、ITER機構及び欧州と協力し、那珂核融合研究所の超伝導コイル試験装置において試験した。その結果、磁場6.4T,温度4.5Kの条件下で52kAの大電流通電に成功した。

The recent status of ITER project, regarding with successfully completion of test for the ITER poloidal field conductor insert as called PF insert. The test was carried out under the framework of ITER project and collaboration with ITER Organization and EU at JAEA Naka Fusion Research Institute. And PF insert consist of NbTi superconductor that will be applied to ITER poloidal field coils. In the results, PF insert was successfully achieved stable operation current of 52kA under magnetic flux density of 6.4T and temperature of 4.5 K as expected.
