Impulsive Raman transition, dissociation, and ionization from the B state of iodine molecules in an intense laser field

Matsuoka, Leo; Yokoyama, Keiichi  ; Yokoyama, Atsushi

It is an interesting subject to control the Impulsive Raman Transition with a tailored ultrafast pulse because of its applicability to the isotope separation or the ultracold molecular physics. We performed a model experiment to observe the population alteration of molecules via IRT on the B state of iodine molecules. We discussed the interaction between the iodine molecules in the B state and the non-tailored ultra short pulsed lasers.
