was cultured in the anarobic medium containing U(VI)-organic complexes. The weak complexes were reduced to U(IV) and uraninite was formed. The strong complexes were reduced to U(IV)-complexes remaining in the solution. These results suggest that organic acids affect the bioreduction behavior of U(VI).
