Department of JMTR Operation

As for the refurbishment, the Japan Materials Testing Reactor (JMTR) has been stopping since JMTR 165th cycle operation was finished, and the JMTR is advancing its refurbishment to restart from FY2011. Regarding the management and operation of JMTR, inspection based on the law, maintenance and preservation work of facilities were carried out. Moreover, for the irradiation facility, maintenance and preservation works on the management and operation were also carried out. In the hot laboratory, post irradiation examinations using irradiated specimens in the JMTR were carried out. In addition, maintenance and preservation works of facilities were also carried out. This report describes the FY2007 activities relating to above mentions.
