Performance of 3"$$times$$3"LaBr$$_{3}$$(Ce) detector to high-energy $$gamma$$-rays

Energy resolution of a LaBr$$_{3}$$(Ce) detector has been investigated for a wide $$gamma$$-ray energy range. High-energy $$gamma$$-rays have been produced by the (p, $$alpha$$$$gamma$$), (n,$$gamma$$) reactions. The superiority of the LaBr$$_{3}$$(Ce) detector on the energy resolution has been demonstrated to a NaI(Tl) detector.
