Simulation for the dielectric function of diamond excited by ultrafast pulse laser by time-dependent density-functional theory

Otobe, Tomohito; Yabana, Kazuhiro*; Koga, J. K.

Understanding properties of solid excited by intense short pulse laser is important to control of condensed matter by laser. We calculate the optical property of diamond excited by short pulse laser by time-dependent density-functional theory (TDDFT). This approach can study the optical response during coherence of excited electron is surviving. We found the dielectric function around specific energy region corresponds to three photon of fundamental laser.
