A Tandem Accelerator Mass Spectrometry system (JAEA-AMS-TONO) was installed at the Tono Geoscience Center, JAEA in 1997 for measurement isotopes in environmental samples. The main activity is radiocarbon dating for geoscience. The system has offered services for the facility utilization for scientists who work in external institutions since 2006. In this presentation, we report to annual operation status and improvements in the system at the fiscal year of 2008. Measured samples and time have reached 879 and 1102 h in the fiscal year. In order to stabilize an ion beam, we rearranged an injection beam line, adjusted the temperature on a Cs oven of an ion source and improved a rotating shaft of an index wheel and a corona probe.
