Fuel irradiation and water chemistry test programs in JMTR

JMTRにおける燃料照射及び水化学試験計画

JMTRでは、新型BWR燃料の異常過渡条件での挙動を調べる照射試験及び水化学評価試験を計画している。現在は、この新たな燃料照射試験のための試験装置の整備や燃料輸送準備を進めている。また、水化学の被覆管や炉心構造材の健全性に及ぼす影響を調べるための水ループやセンサー開発を進めている。これらの試験計画の概要を紹介する。

Irradiation tests of new BWR fuels under abnormal transient conditions and water chemistry tests are planned in the JMTR. Facilities for the transient fuel irradiation tests and a water chemistry test loop are being constructed in the JMTR. In parallel, transportation of the test fuel and development of the sensors are progressing for the programs. Outlines of the programs are presented.
