Toward integrated laser-driven ion accelerator systems at the Photo-Medical Research Center in Japan

Bolton-san will describe advancing the state-of-the-art in laser-driven ion acceleration at PMRC with the aim of developing a cancer treatment facility. He will present latest results of ion acceleration experiments at PMRC. Technical challenges will be identified. Beamline design will be included and a strategy for PMRC to realize these goals. Exemplary does distributions relevant to the laser-driven case will be shown. All of this is to be presented as an introduction to PMRC.
