Relationship between induced indium activity and count rates of survey meters used to screen personnel exposed in criticality accidents

Takada, Chie ; Nakagawa, Takahiro ; Tsujimura, Norio

For the purpose of screening personnel exposed in a criticality accident, a small indium foil, for example, incorporated in a personal dosimeter or an ID card, has been universally adopted in many nuclear facilities. The focus of this research is an indium irradiation experiment using a $$^{252}$$Cf source instead of reactors and Monte Carlo calculation to obtain the counting efficiency.
