After the birth of a new neutron scattering facility, MLF at J-PARC, it is desired to establish the most suitable polarizing technique for the facility. In MLF the white neutron beam over the wide energy range is used and the use of $$^{3}$$He spin filter technique is the best one. However, the technological level in Japan is far below the world's top level. To realize the polarized neutron scattering experiments using $$^{3}$$He spin filters in MLF, it is necessary to make the experiments at a reactor neutron facility first and to establish the required technique. Therefore, we have performed polarized neutron experiments at HERMES in JRR-3. We used the monochromatized neutron beam with 1.82 ${AA}$. We measured the flipping ratio at the 111 reflection of single-crystalline Cu$$_{2}$$MnAl and the change was observed. The details of the experimental setup and the results will be reported.
