High-energy heavy ion irradiation effects on polymer materials

Ion-beam irradiation effects for polymers by an inhomogeneous energy deposition are important for evaluating energy transfer, polymer degradation, developing new materials, and so on. In this work, the local transformation of the chemical structure in polymer and the micromachining of polymer by irradiation with various ion-beams are investigated.
