Superconductivity in a ternary silicide CaPtSi

Single crystals of a new ternary compound CaPtSi are synthesized by means of the Sn-flux method. Crystal structure as well as the composition was determined experimentally. Superconductivity was found by resistivity and specific heat measurements.
