Superconductivity in a ternary silicide Ca$$_2$$Pt$$_3$$Si$$_5$$

Single crystals of a new ternary compound Ca$$_2$$Pt$$_3$$Si$$_5$$ are synthesized by means of the Sn-flux method. Crystal structure as well as the composition was determined experimentally. Superconductivity was found by resistivity and specific heat measurements.
