The structure and the axis angle of an incident cluster ion to the target are important elements to resolve a process of collision reaction between a swift cluster ion and the solid. In this report, we analyzed the divergence-angle distribution of the fragment ions emerging from the thin carbon foil, and investigated the relationship between the spatial distribution of the fragments and these charge state in the foil. The result indicated that the charge state of the fragment ions depended on the orientation angle of the incident cluster ion to the foil.
