${it Asclepias}$ is one of the perennial ornamentals native to central America, using for cutting, potting and bed flowers. For the purpose to obtain flower and/or plant form mutation, ${it Asclepias}$ seeds were irradiated with ion beams. Irradiated seeds were sowed in green house and germinated seedlings were transplanted into pots. After 10 months, these plants were planted in the field. Seed germination rate decreased from 200 Gy irradiation with increasing doses and any seeds could not germinate at 500 Gy. Survival rate of seedlings decreased below 50% at 150 Gy and 200 Gy, and all seedlings were molted at 250 Gy and more higher doses. In 50 Gy and higher doses irradiated seedlings, abnormal morphology of leaves (rounded apical leaf, branched leaf and narrow leaf) was observed and appearance of abnormal leaf was increased with dose up to 200 Gy.
