Submicron soft X-ray and multicharged ions imaging of nanostructures by using a femtosecond laser driven cluster based source

A novel type of submicron soft X-ray and ion radiography to image low contrast objects, including nanofoils, membranes and biological structures, is proposed. It is based on a femtosecond laser driven cluster based soft X-ray and multicharged ions plasma source and on a high spatial resolution, large dynamic range LiF soft X-ray or a polymer dosimeter film ion detectors.
