As site investigation proceeds and information obtained on geological environments increases, the characterization plan has to be iteratively reviewed and modified to reflect improved understanding. Thus JAEA teams are developing a system for transferring the know-how and decision-making process, based on the experiences from JAEA's URL program, which are needed for the future site investigations.
