Fluorine analysis of human dentin surrounding resin composite after fluoride application by -PIGE/PIXE analysis

The aim of this study was to evaluate dentin bond strength to resin composite with fluoride application and to detect the fluorine in human dentin around resin composite after fluoride application by -PIGE/PIXE system at TIARA. This study showed that fluorine was detected on dentin/resin composite interface, which indicated high bond strength, by PIXE/PIGE system. The relationship between fluorine and dentin bonding became clear. This method might give information about fluoride effect on dentin bonding systems.
