Extraction chromatography experiments on repeated operation using engineering scale column system

The extraction chromatography separation experiments with the engineering scale column were carried out on a simulated waste solution. Ten times repeated separation experiments with two steps flow sheet using the CMPO/SiO$$_{2}$$-P and the HDEHP/SiO$$_{2}$$-P adsorbents, respectively, provided durability of the adsorbents. The chromatograms obtained from the CMPO/SiO$$_{2}$$-P column showed reproduced profiles through the multi-cycle operations. On the other hand, the time of development and peak shapes of the representative elements for HDEHP/SiO$$_{2}$$-P column became slower and broader with the number of repeating the procedure due to leakage of HDEHP from the adsorbents.
